Operation: Pop Tops!
Save your specially marked Pepsi and Coke soda bottle tops ("POP TOPS") for Junior Girl Scout troop 4050!!
They will be collecting the codes on these tops, redeeming points (from the codes) for CDs and DVDs, and sending the music/movies to the recovering soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. 
Please either email your codes to OperationPopTops@gmail.com, OR just save them in a bag or box, and Lynn Cesard will take them off of your hands when you're ready.

  Cookies for the Red Cross Blood Drive
These cookies are for people that make a blood donation tot he Red Cross.  Cookies are to be delivered to Saundra Roseberry.  Contact Saundra at 703-777-6936.  Saundra needs three dozen cookies from each volunteer troop to be delivered at her house on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
 
  Visit a Nursing Home
Please consider visiting an area nursing home with your troop.  Your troop could sing, recite poetry, put on a skit, do a craft or even play BINGO with the residents.  They Love it!!

Ongoing Assemble gift and care packages for service members primarily stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan. The organization also brings comfort items and offers various methods of support to the wounded service members, families, and loved ones located medical centers. ALL website  
Spread the Bread Ongoing Spread the Bread is a global grassroots "community" bread-giving initiative that encourages people, especially our youth, to bake any kind of bread and spread that bread to honor our heroes and to help those in need. ALL website  
Troop Adopting Marine Platoon Starting Fall 2007 Joy Dyer Troop Advisor for Senior Troop 2462 has adopted a Marine Platoon out of Camp LeJune, NC. Lisa Lampert, a very involved volunteer for Girl Scouts in Service Unit 70-3 has a son who is in this platoon that is scheduled to go to Iraq sometime this Fall. Joy Dyer’s troop is asking all Girl Scouts to help out by collecting some items to be sent to Iraq. All Email Joy or call her at (703) 715-3141 (day) - (703) 450-5706 (evening)
